Before I discovered Washington Oaks Gardens I found inspiration in various rock formations where the water issues forth from the earth in the Florida springs such as Blue Springs, Ponce De Leon Springs, Deleon Springs, Wekiva Springs, Rock Springs, Salt Springs, Rainbow Springs, and others.  Then there’s the Coquina rock I described in my story: Gaudi and Whitman, Fountains of My Inspiration.  Coquina is used by landscape artists in Central Florida.  All these and more serve as my inspirations. But Washington Oaks State Gardens captures it best!
